HONOR A VIETNAM VETERAN
The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund has been managing the “In Memory” Program and hosting a National Ceremony at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, DC since 1999.
“In Memory” honors those who served in the Vietnam War, returned home, and later died -- regardless of their cause of death.
It’s easy to apply on behalf of a deceased family member/friend. Applications can be completed online or downloaded and mailed. Applicants need to include a copy of the Service Member’s DD214, Birth Certificate, and two photos; a short Bio is optional. Links to the application is below.
Please note: if applications are submitted before February 19th, 2026, families will receive an invitation to the National Ceremony in D.C. on Father’s Day. Family members will also be given the opportunity to read their deceased family member’s name aloud at the Ceremony.
To be included in The Wall That Heals Mobile Education Center’s Digital Display, applications should be submitted by February 19th 2026 to allow enough time for processing since it will arrive at Pierce College, March 18.
Let’s ensure all our local Vietnam Veterans who passed after returning home are honored and on display when The Wall That Heals opens to the public!

Since the Vietnam War ended, thousands of Vietnam veterans have suffered due to Agent Orange exposure, PTSD and other illnesses as a result of their service.
The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund (VVMF) believes all those who served in Vietnam should be honored and remembered for their service.
The In Memory program enables the families and friends of those who came home and later died the opportunity to have them be forever memorialized.
